Coronavirus Statement from the Chair of Trustees

19th March

As you’d expect, fly2help is fully complying with Government guidelines as the country deals with the Coronavirus outbreak.

This means we will be unable to physically deliver our ‘Aim High’ and ‘Air Smiles’ programmes for the time being. Our small team has already transitioned to remote working and I’m pleased to report that we are, at present, all well.

This operational hiatus will enable us to review and update our procedures, continue fundraising and plan for the delivery of our future programmes.

Setting aside the potential human and economic cost of the crisis for a moment, it is widely recognised that the aviation and aerospace industries will be severely hit. Flying is at the heart of what fly2help does and this will remain the case as the world recovers from the pandemic. We will be working hard to ensure our future programmes help to rebuild the industry and offer the benefits of flying to those who need them most.

During this difficult period we will, of course, look to minimise our costs and expenditure. If you are in a position to continue to support us through donations, you can do so via our website.

We are extremely grateful for your support and we wish you all well. Please take care….

Darren Lewington

Chair of Trustees
