Aim High Coordinator
Kim joined fly2help in September 2014, after 32 years in the aviation industry. She started her career as an Air Traffic Control Assistant at the age of 16 and progressed to be an Air Traffic Controller, technical administrator and ultimately business development manager, spending many happy years at Gloucestershire Airport.
In 2014, Gloucestershire Airport selected fly2help as its chosen charity. Kim was so inspired by the charity’s work that she joined the team and runs our Aim High scholarships at Gloucestershire Airport. She also volunteers for Air Smiles Days when she can fit them in with her other aviation-based consultancy work.
Georgina graduated with a BA in Photography from Nottingham Trent University, winning the Vice Chancellor’s Award for the School of Art & Design. Her photographic work celebrated the Spitfire in the 75th Anniversary year of the Battle of Britain and her dissertation examined the evolution of military photo reconnaissance. Georgina has worked as the photographer for Boeing Defence UK at RIAT, with Rolls-Royce and their Mk XIX Spitfire, PS853 and exhibited her aviation photography in Nottingham and London.
Georgina joined fly2help in March 2016 to coordinate our Aim High scholarships and schools programme and run Air Smiles Days at Cotswold and Gloucestershire Airports.
Sharon joined fly2help in October 2016, in a new role to manage the charity’s finance and administration.
Despite having a degree in English Literature and specialising in medieval Welsh literature, she has over 20 years' experience in company finance, running a small business based in Cheltenham.
Sharon has a keen interest in all things aviation, sparked by watching the Staverton Airshow from the top of Chosen Hill as a child and developed through an interest in military history. She chairs 2322 (Dowty) Squadron ATC so has a particular interest in youth education and the charity’s Aim High programme.
Any spare time is spent walking her lovely dog, Arthur.
