Katy studied Performing Arts at college, starting work as a runner and then a coordinator for a TV and theatrical release department. She became an account executive for Technicolor, working with Warner Bros, Walt Disney and Paramount Pictures on films such as Bridget Jones’s Diary and the Harry Potter series. After having her first child, Katy joined the voluntary sector working for Sue Ryder to promote legacy giving and the history of the charity’s founder, Lady Ryder. Katy then joined Dorothy House to develop work flow systems for the busy hospice’s Marketing and Communications team.

Katy joined fly2help in February 2015 to run our fundraising events, including the annual Gala Dinner, and she co-ordinates air shows and our amazing team of volunteers.

Kim joined fly2help in September 2014, after 32 years in the aviation industry.  She started her career as an Air Traffic Control Assistant at the age of 16 and progressed to be an Air Traffic Controller, technical administrator and ultimately business development manager, spending many happy years at Gloucestershire Airport.

In 2014, Gloucestershire Airport selected fly2help as its chosen charity. Kim was so inspired by the charity’s work that she joined the team and runs our Aim High scholarships at Gloucestershire Airport.  She also volunteers for Air Smiles Days when she can fit them in with her other aviation-based consultancy work.

Aim High Coordinator

Glenn joined the Royal Air Force after school and spent 7 years there before working in engineering and operational roles at a number of airports and airshows.  He managed some major capital projects before getting back into the aviation sector, running his own photography business and acting as tour leader on aviation photography holidays.

Glenn is an enthusiastic and committed volunteer, having given up thirty days in 2015 to capture the joy of Air Smiles Days and all the action of our Gala Dinner and other fundraising events and airshows.  As a member of the fly2help team, he will be running our first Aim High scholarship week at Biggin Hill in October 2016.

Sharon Walters

Finance Administrator

Sharon joined fly2help in October 2016, in a new role to manage the charity’s finance and administration.

Despite having a degree in English Literature and specialising in medieval Welsh literature, she has over 20 years' experience in company finance, running a small business based in Cheltenham.

Sharon has a keen interest in all things aviation, sparked by watching the Staverton Airshow from the top of Chosen Hill as a child and developed through an interest in military history. She chairs 2322 (Dowty) Squadron ATC so has a particular interest in youth education and the charity’s Aim High programme.

Any spare time is spent walking her lovely dog, Arthur.
