Dominic Completes the Viking Challenge
A big 'Thank You' goes out to Dominic Lyons who completed the Viking Challenge on Sun 5th October 08 to raise money for fly2help.
This 50K off-road cycle challenge took place around Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire in less than ideal conditions! Following torrential rain overnight, coupled with more wind and rain during the ride, much of the route was extremely muddy, with puddles (lakes !) up to 18 inches deep and running water. The conditions did not deter many people with over 800 riding on the day with times varying from 2 hrs 16 mins to 7 hrs 16 mins for the 50 km course. Dominic was still smiling (probably due to insanity!) after completing the course in 4 hrs 35 mins. This was a great acheivement and thank you again from all of us!
