| Private Pilot's License
The Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) is your first step into
the exciting world of aviation. The holder of a Private Pilots
Licence is entitled to fly with friends; family or colleagues
and many use their licence to travel from place to place by
the best and most eye-opening form of transport available.
For anyone looking for a rewarding hobby or a new career in
aviation this is your first step.
If you are interested in undertaking a training course towards
your PPL, don't worry, you don't need to have any prior knowledge
or experience of either aviation or aircraft, everything you
need to know in terms of the theoretical and the practical
will be taught on this course. In order to obtain a PPL, you
will be required to pass aviation medical to ensure safe health.
You'll be pleased to know that in the majority of cases, many
ailments don't hinder this process.
The PPL course follows an approved syllabus of training and
consists of the following minimum number of training hours:
45 hours total flight instruction. This includes at least:
25 hours Dual Flight Instruction,
and
10 hours Supervised Solo Flight.
All required ground school exam preparation. Please
note that exam fees are not included.
There are no upper or lower age limits to learn to fly but
you must be 16 years of age before you can fly 'solo'
and 17 years of age before your licence can be issued.
